Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following

  • Lead and grow a world-class team to develop and support the Sessionwire core platform.
  • Define and execute on platform strategy and product roadmap.
  • Develop key operational metrics and push for continuous improvement.
  • Establish best practices, tools, and process, and mentor other engineers to grow into leadership roles.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to recruit and lead high-performing teams in the development, rollout and support of scalable real-time applications.
  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Fluent in C, C++, Javascript, Node.js, shell scripting.
  • Proficient in object-oriented programming and Agile development methodologies.
  • Background in digital audio signal processing and real-time network and inter-process communication protocols, including RTP
  • Experience developing complete audio/media applications from device driver to user interface.

Definite Assets

  • Familiarity with professional recording studio software, hardware and workflow.
  • Experience in WebRTC, WASM, Web Audio, Audio Workstation product development.
  • Experience developing Chromium or Electron-based products.
  • Experience developing and supporting Mac OS and Windows real-time applications and OS drivers

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and organizational leadership.
  • Communicate cross-functionally and drive engineering efforts.
  • Hold your own in technical discussion, be a subject matter expert, and have strategic influence.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management.
  • 5+ years coding in the following: JavaScript, Java, C++ (optional but admirable), Meteor, Mongo, Node, Redux, GraphQL, Github, CI e.g. Circle CI.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit and manage technical teams, including performance management.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, 4+ years relevant work experience).
